What exactly happens to your Rudraksha when it arrives at our laboratory? Here is a complete, transparent walkthrough of our certification process — from the moment we receive your bead to the moment your certificate is issued.
Step 1: Receipt and Registration
Your Rudraksha is registered in our system with a unique tracking number. You receive an SMS and email confirmation. Your bead is labelled and stored in a secure, individual container.
Step 2: Initial Visual Examination
Our gemologist performs a preliminary visual examination under a 10x loupe. This gives us an initial assessment of the mukhi count, condition, and any obvious signs of treatment or artificial modification.
Step 3: Stereomicroscopic Analysis
The bead is examined under our Olympus stereomicroscope at magnifications up to 200x. We photograph every mukhi and examine: mukhi formation (natural fibrous edges vs. carved channels), surface pore structure, signs of coating or chemical treatment, and structural integrity.
Step 4: X-Ray Imaging (where required)
Our digital X-ray unit creates an image showing the internal structure. This reveals the number of internal seed chambers (must exactly match mukhi count), any internal hollow spaces, any joins or adhesive layers, and density and homogeneity of the wood material.
Step 5: Physical Measurement
Weight (to 0.01g precision), diameter, height, and hole diameter are recorded. These measurements appear on your certificate.
Step 6: Origin Assessment
Using our calibrated reference database of thousands of certified specimens, we assess the origin — Nepal or Java.
Step 7: Certificate Preparation and Quality Check
All findings are compiled into a draft report. A senior gemologist reviews and signs off. The final certificate is printed on tamper-evident paper with a holographic seal.
Step 8: QR Code Registration
Your certificate ID is registered in our secure online database. Anyone can scan the QR code to instantly verify your certificate.
Turnaround Time
- Standard: 3–5 business days
- Express: 24–48 hours (surcharge applies)
- Bulk lots: 7–14 business days depending on quantity
